They express contrary views for the sake of arguments & debates and are themselves clueless for solutions. In their own comfort zones perhaps and without enlightenment they are unable to perceive the deeper realities of the injustices that are plaguing the country and pass judgment that the Bersih initiative is a farce. They need to lick more salts to understand what is going on around them. They cannot look beyond the superficial & hollow “plethora changes” in the Election Commission as mentioned by that SIL in the 101 East Forum on Bersih Rally.
Obviously they are also unable to grasp the behind the scene moves in transferring voters and all the gerrymandering to divide a geographic area into voting districts so as to give unfair advantage to one party in elections? Look at the Malaysian Parliamentary & State constituencies – all differing widely in size or population because of gerrymandering.
They should take closer look at the Transcript at
http://powerpresent.blogspot.com/2007/11/transcript-al-jazeera-101-east-forum.html
and see government stance on guided democracy and media and read Malik’s explanation why they cannot muster more support “due to the many roadblocks”Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
